Subject: Einstein Mk II gen.
Что за Mk II? Просто Эйнштейн № 2, или что-то другое в виду имеется?

Контекст:
Nonetheless, there is little doubt that Hawking was born ‘smart’ – a fact that, as noted previously, prompted his schoolmates to nickname him ‘Einstein’. Fortunately for the world, Hawking eventually came to realize that he was not content simply to be smart. Indeed, as we shall see, his ambitions extended even beyond being an Einstein Mk II.

"Mark II or Mark 2 often refers to the second version of a product, frequently military hardware. "Mark", meaning "model" or "variant", can be abbreviated "Mk."

It means you have an extremely intelligent child. An IQ of 145 is way above average.

'Mk. I', 'Mk. II' etc are usually only used with military and other equipment. However, 'Mk. II' is sometimes used figuratively to portray the person/thing as the modernised version of someone/something that has existed in the past -- as in this reference to Hawking.

Sometimes, in addition, it's said in a slightly mocking way, as in these two examples:
* 'Theresa May is trying to depict herself as Maggie Thatcher Mk. II'.
* 'Trump wants to build his Mexican wall, which some have dubbed 'Great Wall of China Mk. II''.
