Carpenters from IATSE, firefighters, loggers even, all had sailboats down there. It was actually pretty low class judging from some of the nightly shenanigans. Nowadays it feels like there is a top-down mission to take away what was once -- and still could be -- a relatively cheap and easy way to run up and down the coast during the summer months and enjoy nature.
