Subject: пятихлебный переулок Please, help to translate. It is a the name of a street from a book about a character called Serdiuk who is looking for a factory in Moscow, directed by a Japanese friend. I believe it is from a piece of modern Russian literature by a well known author.Word is used in the following sentence: ....спрашивая, где Пятилебный переулок. Thanks in advance |

И там еще Двурыбный канал должен где-то рядом быть. И Нагорный тупик опять же - cf. five breads and two fishes. M.B. Five-Breads bystreet? Хотя зачем это переводить? Никто же не переводит Бродвей как "широкая дорога". |
