Subject: Website or list of Russian acronyms, where should I look for it, is there a translated one? I need a list of Russian acronyms for my translating of letters from Russia,that are full of acronyms. I need to know their exact meaning in Russian. Also, I want to know, if there is a list of acronyms already translated, may be the most common ones. I would appreciate your help in this matter. Marina |
| I really doubt if you could find some. There mught probably be acromyms collections related to specific issues or industries like oil industry etc but believe me it's normally a headache to find quickly what you need. If you could specify the area you are getting the acronyms from then some of us might probably be of help... Cheers |

Multitran contains some Russian acronyms, but http://www.sokr.ru has more than 50.000 acronyms (explanations only) When you search acronym in Multitran, it also displays links to www.sokr.ru (recently they have sent us their acronym database) You can then use Multitran to translate the explanations you find there. |
