The types of special accounts in Russian currency available to non-residents and relevant operations include:

S – to be used by a non-resident for the purchase from and sale to residents of bonds issued by the Russian Federation (which constitute internal securities) and related payment settlements;

A - to be used by a non-resident for the purchase from and sale to residents of shares and stock in mutual investment funds (which constitute internal securities) and related payment settlements;

O - to be used by a non-resident for the purchase from and sale to residents of bonds issued by residents and non-residents (which constitute internal securities) and related payment settlements;

B1 - to be used by a non-resident for: (i) payment settlements under ruble loans received from residents and (ii) the receipt of ruble proceeds from the initial placement of shares and bonds constituting internal securities issued by the non-resident and issuance of promissory notes (veksels) to residents; and

B2 – to be used by a non-resident for: (i) payment settlements under ruble loans granted to residents; (ii) the purchase from and sale to residents of internal securities that are not mass-issue securities (with the exception of promissory notes) and related payment settlements.
