Global Meeting Survey Focus Groups Public Comment

Focus Groups: IFC staff focus group discussions will be conducted to determine the use and effectiveness of the Safeguard Policies in shaping project selection, design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, and what has or has not worked. Focus groups will be convened department by department as well as cross department, particularly where consultation is being sought on case study projects and the project team will be the focus. Focus groups will be used to raise and identify issues, explore “compliance”, and to identify ways to move forward. Individual interviews will also be conducted for specific purposes such as assessing issues on which specialists make judgments.
