The «free radical» silicone system used by ETI offers an undeniable advantage since the complete UV is instantaneous cured. The substrate release will have its final characteristics immediately after its production. It is not necessary any more to envisage a material maturation before the quality control or the next converting step.

The silicone is composed by three mains elements
• The silicone
• The release additive
• The photo initiator

The basic mix of the three elements is:
• 70% of silicone
• 30% of release additive
• 2% of the coat weight in photo-initiator

It is possible to obtain a specific release by varying the release additive percentage. The result obtained for certain values of mixture only varies very little according to the material used (if the coverage is suitable). For mixtures comprising less than 70% of release additive, a mixture accuracy of +/-2% is acceptable while for mixtures comprising more than 70% it is preferable to have +/-1% of accuracy.
The photo initiator mixture must be done with +/-.2% of accuracy.
The ‘’free radical’’ Silicone can be applied to the majority of the substrates as paper, film , thermal papers and printed surfaces. It is recommended to heat silicone at 140 F (60C) in order to lower its viscosity degree and in order to get a better cover.
