| Trip wire в данном случае "провод-ловушка"; как например, у спецназа, ночующего в лесу, устанавливающего эти самые trip wires по периметру. Помогите, люди добрые, как это по-русски назвать - к вечеру мозги уже клинит. |

такие "провода-ловушки" обычно называют растяжками :) а до вечера еще далеко :) |

Alex Nord: Спасибо!!! А по поводу вечера, дык это от точки отсчета зависит: как в известной песне поется "Midnight in Moscow, lunchtime in LA", только в данном случае наоборот :) |

| Аналог растяжки в нервной системе - это метафора. Он там дальше про солдат (troops) говорит в нервной системе. Это тоже метафора :) |
