Появляется возможность создавать скважин большого диаметра. По всей длине скважины вырезают керны. Их поднимают вверх, используя подземную энергию. The main innovation in modern drilling technology is considered to be lateral well drilling. But the drilling cost of such wells is high, while diameter of wells is small. This increases losses during the operation. (This causes extra losses during the operation). The described method can be used in oil and gas recovery, as well as in geothermal energy industry. В современном бурении основным нововведением считаются горизонтальные скважины. Однако, стоимость бурения таких скважин высокая, а диаметр маленький. Это приводит к большим потерям при эксплуатации скважин. Предлагаемый способ бурения может использоваться при добыче нефти, газа и в геотермальной энергетике. |

ИМХО The concept of new deep well drilling technique. The technique allows for drastic drilling cost reducing (cutting). There is an opportunity to drill wider (bigger diameter) wells. The well is cored throughout the wellbore. The core samples are pulled out using underground energy. Во втором абзаце я бы заменил lateral на horizontal, а recovery на production. |

а можно еще спросить? встречается вот такое вот предложение "Объём бурения постоянно увеличивается и будет увеличиваться. Иначе остановятся все механизмы на планете. Возможно, этот способ бурения сделает геотермальную энергетику энергетикой будущего." Объёмы бурения здесь - scope of drilling? или не? |

| По смыслу исходного предложения - пафосно-рекламного. "Объём бурения постоянно увеличивается и будет увеличиваться. Иначе остановятся все механизмы на планете". С какой стати они остановятся? |

However, drilling costs are high, and ID is small. These facts result in big operational losses. The proposed drilling technology may be used in drilling wells for oil and gas production, and for geothermal energy utilization. Drilling footage is growing all the time, and will continue to grow. Otherwise, all rotating equipment will cease operation all over the world. Probably, the proposed drilling technology will enable geothermal power engineering to be a challenge of the future. |
