Context: Next, we visited our congregation in Ugunja, which is at the heart of the outreach ministry to children whose parents have died from HIV-AIDS. From here the idea of having a “building-less” orphanage had emerged. Children are not being brought to a single place where they are cared for, but rather are placed in the homes of extended family members and/or church members, where they live as part of the family.
