Меня смущает фраза in which it occurs. К чему It относится? level? role?Без нее понятно получается. Может, еще кто поможет, а пока получилось так: ...который не может быть совместим: - с поддержанием популяции на уровне, соответствующем роли этих видов в экосистемах. |

it это species поддержанние численности популяции на том уровне, который соответствует роли этого вида (species - единственное число) в экосистеме, в которой этот вид обитает |
