Ex’pression Center for New Media is looking for an energetic, ambitious individual to fill the position of Placement Director for the Digital Visual Media and Digital Graphic Design programs.

You will...

• Network with companies and persons in the industries related to the fields of study of DVM & DGD students. The purpose of this networking is to generate internship and employment opportunities for graduates of the school. You will be responsible for assuring that Ex’pression graduates have opportunities for internships and/or employment after they graduate.

• Guide and counsel students as they embark on their first steps into their industries. This includes assisting with the preparation of their demo reel, portfolio, resume, cover letter, URL & overall branding/marketing; teaching them about the interview process; and generally preparing them to start their careers.

• Keep a detailed record of all client and student communications and events in a computer database, as well as hard files. This will include generating statistical reports for school management as well as for state and federal entities who require them.

BA/BS degree required. We are looking for someone comfortable in social and business environments and who is able to relate to persons at all levels. You must have excellent written and oral communication skills. You must have 3-4 years experience working in either visual effects, game design or graphic design industries. Strong experience in placement and/or recruiting, a plus! You will be expected to travel 10-20% to trade shows, exhibitions, and conferences. We want someone with a strong passion and enthusaism for visual effects, video games and digital graphic design. Management experience preferred.
