Subject: power and control Коллеги, здравствуйте, помогите, пожалуйста, понять, что имеется в виду в последнем предложении под "removes power and control". Admission to a child or adolescent mental health inpatient setting would not usually be to manage self-harm per se, but would be to contain associated risks or address additional mental health co-morbidity, such as psychosis or depression. Indeed, some argue that admitting self-harming young people to hospital may often be ineffective or even make their self-harm worse. Health professionals sometimes try and stop young people self-harming. This removes power and control and may create the very circumstances that led to the self-harm in the first place.

English is 6 out of 10. Health professionals sometimes (physically) restrain young people from self-harming. Inability to move and loss of control may (aggravate the patient and) create the very circumstances that led to the self-harming behavior in the first place. |

Admission to a child or adolescent mental health inpatient setting. Ах, они имели в виду "Admission to a...mental health inpatient setting for children and adolescents". "would not usually be to manage self-harm per se, but would be to contain associated risks" would be to contain associated risks and not to manage self-harm per se. Health professionals sometimes try and stop young people self-harming. "try and stop young people self-harming"??? |
