In the UK, income tax is a tax on the income of individuals (people) rather than companies. The usual term for a tax on the income/profits of companies is corporation tax. It's paid not only by corporations (=big companies), but by companies of any size including small ones. However, the names of taxes used in different English-speaking countries, varies greatly. I don't know the equivalent term used in the US. If you want a general term which covers all of the different countries, you could try something like company tax, but if you want a more exact term, it depends on which English-speaking country your translation's going to/aimed at. |
