Subject: Dom. Haulier и Int.

international |
hauler? |
International? |

'Dom. Haulier' = 'domestic haulier'* (where 'domestic' means 'within the country referred to' -- ie the US, UK or wherever). * Note: UK English = 'haulier'; US English = 'hauler'. However, the activity ('haulage') is spelt the same in both countries. 'Int. Carrier' = 'international carrier'. |

it's spelled spelled, not spelt ... from spelt they make flour (which is spelled flour , not flower!) |
These Brits don't know English. |

I'm not getting into that argument again! It's 'spelt' on the sensible side of The Pond and 'spelled' in the colonies! http://www.lexico.com/en/definition/spelt |
We are not colonies anymore. Trump said. |

Must be 100% true, then! :-D |

In UK English (which is what this appears to be written in), * a 'haulier' ('haulage company' is also used) is a person/company that transports goods only (not passengers), usually (but not always) by road or rail; whereas * a 'carrier' has a wider meaning of a company that transports goods or people by road, rail, air, ship or almost any other means of transport. It could be that the author has used '[international] carrier' here only because 'carrier' includes companies transporting goods by air or ship -- not just by road or rail. That's just a guess, though, as I've not seen the document either. I suspect that the distinction between 'haulier' and 'carrier' doesn't matter very much here and that if перевозчик covers all means of transport, it's probably OK to use. |
