Вот в Вашем сообщении сказано: "встречается в следующем контексте".
Напишите в каком.

You need to give the context in which your word/phrase is used each time you post a question on this forum, delanda22. That means:

* showing all of the paragraph you found it in;
* saying where the word/phrase is from or what the translation is about generally -- an advertisement, mechanical engineering, electronics, a poem, or whatever.

'sorts of ways' without context can mean almost anything.

это давний и неизлечимый баг форума

page source показывает, что контекст был такой:

Tools don’t exist in isolation; they are connected in all sorts of ways

Баг или не баг, уважающий других человек зайдет на собственную тему и увидит, что-то не так получилось. А если закидывает удочку с одной и той же формулировкой в десяток форумов, чтобы наутро вытащить улов, то получаем то, что получилось.

Да, скорее всего имелось в виду - in all sorts of ways. К гадалке не ходи... Что-то типа "всеразличными способами". Но как сказали коллеги выше - переводить надо с контекстом перед глазами. Удачи!

Amor: I didn't understand all of your comment at 4:01. That's my Russian letting me down, unfortunately. Are you saying I should stop asking people to provide the context?

I did it with this asker because I noticed that it was their first question, and if someone doesn't explain the importance of context, they'll continue to post questions without giving it. Others will then have to keep asking them for it each time.

Or have I misunderstood you?

johnstephenson,
that is not what I am saying. I said that some askers post their questions in multiple sites similar to this one without even bothering to go back and see what did they post. If they did so, they would be able to see that their "в следующем контексте" did not work out. They simply return the next day and collect the answers others left.

Ah, now I see.... I misread it as в десяток тем but wouldn't have understood it even if I'd read it properly!

I'm sure you're right: they get an answer from some other forum, and then don't bother to look at ours again. Either that, or they're just bored/lonely!

the lack of asker's involvement is uninspiring, that's the gist of it

johnstephenson,
You don't catch it again. Not "then" (after they get an answer from other sources/forums), but just as soon as they post their question here. If delanda22 checked his/her original post, he/she would notice that something went wrong (no context even though he/she included it).
Next obvious step would be something like "Oh, guys, I am sorry for pressing some wrong button. Here is my context that I somehow skipped by mistake: ....".
I think the topic starter is just a novice to forums like ours. That's why he/she doesn't dare to correct his/her mistake after all those comments that followed.

AsIs: Yes, that's what I assumed Amor meant after his explanation -- they post the question, then immediately go off to another forum and do the same again, then again.... then do nothing more until the next day when they start checking them. They get an answer from (say) the 2nd forum, and then just forget about the rest.

However, if they do get an answer from one of the forums they should at least go back to the others and say "Thank you, but I don't need any more help". A few people don't even do that; they simply disappear. There's no excuse for it.
