Alex: I'm sure you're right. I'm not an expert; I just found the definitions in a standard (non-specialist) dictionary. Neither of them seems to cover extraction, does it? Wikipedia gives slightly different definitions and also refers to 'midstream': http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Midstream Note also that in some cases 'upstream'/'downstream' will mean 'upstream/downstream FROM HERE'. However, the above may not help you as 'upstream'/'downstream' may not be part of your question. |
