Subject: To a question about Trump, Putin responded, "Зачем передёргиваeте?" gen.
In English between two respectable gents this is "Aren't you misrepresenting things some what?" But it's Putin and his Russian is more direct and less sophisticated, so "You're distorting the truth/facts somewhat here."

Как правильпо это первести?

Which way are you translating it -- En->Ru or Ru->En?

If it's Ru->En, a more direct form is "Why are you twisting the facts?" or, if he's referring to sth he (Putin)/Trump has said, "Why are you twisting (my/his) words?"
