We will provide Test Sample Tooling and Sample Parts required for the machine testing and machine acceptance testing. This tooling will be of a suitable design to demonstrate the performance requirements of the machine outlined in the specification as well as the maximum load and maximum energy storage welds using solid steel test parts. This tooling can also demonstrate the closed loop tailstock fixture alignment, but it is not capable of demonstrating weld tolerance accuracies for concentricity or parallelism. The Test Sample Tools are mounted directly to the Tailstock Tooling Plate and the Spindle Adapter

This machine is comprised of a set of Test Tooling, a Tailstock Fixture where the Tailstock Tooling mounts, a Spindle that rotates the Spindle Adapter Plate where the Spindle Tooling mounts and connects the Flywheel Package used for storing the necessary energy for welding, a Main Frame which establishes the centerline relationship between the Thrust Group (that pushes the Tailstock Tooling into the Spindle Tooling) and the Spindle, a manipulator for Part Loading assistance, a Hydraulic Power Unit that drives the Spindle and Ram Cylinder, and a Control System responsible for making the whole system work together to make Inertia Welds
