Недавно наткнулся на странную с грамматической точки зрения фразу: "This key opens many a door". Догадываюсь, что перевод "Этот ключ отпирает многие двери", но хотелось бы услышать комментарий относительно структуры фразы (слово "many" + неопределенный артикль). Это архаизм какой-то? Или редкая устойчивая конструкция?

Those joyous hours are passed away;
