Subject: стоимость поездки gen. расчет стоимости поездки на такси (название опции). Волнует часть" стоимость поездки", есть несколько своих вариантов, не знаю какой выбрать: "cost of the trip" или "journey fee".Еще есть вариант Taxi ride fee.Хотелось бы узнать ваше компетентное мнение. Спасибо заранее. |

Taxi fare calculation. Fare and cost need not be used together, they are the same thing. Fare is a better word where one talks about a predictable amount based on a set " charge per distance travelled / time spent, etc., such as a taxi fare, bus fare, train fare, etc. |

| In fact, "taxi cost" sounds rather like the market price of the vehicle, or its maintenance costs :-) fare is certainly a better word. |

| Or if you're translating a web page or something, and your target phrase is a clickable option or a tab, it would read better as "calculate fare" or "calculate taxi fare" (or "quote fare" even) |
| In England, "taxi cost" is widely used in colloquial speech |

| Erm.. Not common. Cost of a taxi ride maybe, taxi cost not so much, and certainly not wherethe client oneeds a quote from the company. Trust me, fare is a much better word. Or else, tariff |

Oscar goes to Tamerlane "fare" - это просто "стоимость проезда в общественном транспорте" Ни cost, ни тем более estimated cost тут просто неуместны Дальше - по видам транспорта train fare, metro fare, bus fare, taxi fare, tram fare AMOR - уж вам-то известно, как называется "стоимость поездки", хотя бы по расписанию транспорта из NJ в NY |
