Subject: to recieve "a bad deal" hist.
Помогите, пожалуйста, перевести фразу to recieve a bad deal в следующем контексте:
After meeting with Rios Montt, Reagan, referring to the allegations of extensive human-rights abuses, declared that the Guatemalan leader was receiving "a bad deal".

До этого следует описание, как чувак стер с лица земли 400 деревень в Гватемале и т.д.

Я бы уточнила: «люди к нему несправедливы» или «к нему относятся несправедливо».

the original article is there in references:

... on the flight back to Washington aboard Air Force One, Mr. Reagan made the unexpected statement that he was leaning toward approval of a military aid package to Guatemala because material he received from Gen. Efrain Rios Montt led him to believe that charges of widespread human rights abuses had been ''a bum rap.'' ''I very frankly think that they've been getting a bad deal,'' Mr. Reagan said, noting that General Rios Montt had been elected President of Guatemala years ago but had never been allowed to assume office. ''He is totally dedicated to democracy in Guatemala,'' he said.
