Rationale:
Sustained virologic response (SVR)12planned and SVR24planned will be analyzed using a snapshot approach, where the SVR assessment is based on the last HCV RNA value utilizing limit of quantification (25 IU/mL) in the Week 12
and Week 24 follow-up visit window, respectively. The snapshot analysis will be considered the primary analysis.
This type of analysis has been accepted by the EMA and FDA for the previous telaprevir Phase 3 studies as reflected
in the current INCIVO SmPC and INCIVEK USPI, respectively. The primary analysis currently described will also
be conducted but will be considered as a secondary analysis. In this secondary analysis, SVR will be determined
utilizing undetectability in both the Week 12 and Week 24 follow-up visit windows.
