Purity analysis
Purity of product oxygen will be analyzed every hour. Trace oxygen in nitrogen uses automatic analysis. Purity analysis of liquid air and liquid nitrogen should be analyzed every shift. Purity of acetylene content in liquid oxygen should be analyzed every shift.
3.5.2.1 Hampson instrument is used for chemical analysis of oxygen purity. (see Fig.2)
3.5.2.1.1 Principle――――oxygen is put in ammonium chloride and ammonium hydroxide solution and makes the function of chemical combination with copper wire winding in the solution .The reaction formula runs as follows:：

CuO+2NH4Cl+H2O→2NH4OH+CuCl2
CuCl2+2NH4OH→Cu(OH)2+2NH4Cl
Cu(OH)2+4NH4OH→Cu(NH3)4(OH)2+4H2O
Fresh copper is combined with oxygen and forms copper oxide. It contacts with solution and is dissolved in solution. As a result all oxygen is absorbed until saturation and sedimentation. During analyzing the obtained oxygen content is %of volume.
3.5.2.1.2 Preparation for analysis
3.5.2.1.2.1 Roll a copper wire (diameter 1mm) into a spring shape with pitch 5mm and height 10 mm, and put gas into ***absorbing container which is blocked tightly with rubber plug.
