Changing Anti-Solarant

An optical fibre directly exposed to the broad band source will develop an
absorbtion band that reduces fibre transmittance at wavelengths up to 250
nm. The amount of fibre degradation is a function of accumulated exposure
time. The anti-solarizer fluid incorporated into the system provides a highpass
optical filter with a sharp cut-off region.
