Subject: ПЕРЕВОД ЗНАКА "№" Товарищи, как переводить "№" на английский? вот так "#"? или "No."? Что и в каких случаях предпочтительней?

сам пишу No. или no., т.к. именно так в амер. доках часто видел :)) да и согласно лингвы -No. (no.) -это сокр. от 'number'. |

| # и No. равноценны, но как-то был на одном объекте - приучили местных к № - дык они его во всех своих компах позабивали и успешно пользовали (-ют) :) |

no. --- чаще всего. Причем когда после знака no. идет перечисление нескольких номеров, то сам знак превращается в nos. а стоящее перед ним слово приобретает единственное число и пишется с большой буквы. Например-- Orebody no. 1 in the east, Orebody no. 2 in the west, and Orebody no. 3 in the south Но: Orebody nos. 7, 8, and 9 in the central part of the deposit. Такие пироги. |
