Subject: кодирование алкоголиков статья скорее социальная, чем медицинская, встречается термин кодирование алкоголиков. не уверен, что "encode" будет правильно и понятно на англ, это скорее к генетическим факторам относится, поэтому варианты пока обтекаемые - hypnotic or psychological methods including intimidation to cure alcoholic dependenceне гуглится как-то в этом контексте, выражение "кодирование алкоголиков", это русское ноу-хау? |

There is a rising scepticism about the common methods of treating alcoholics. Most state clinics rely on "coding", a method invented by the Soviet psychiatrist Alexander Dovzhenko. Hypnosis or suggestion are used to scare patients into believing they will die or be permanently injured if they drink again. | Thanks, still it's a Russian invention (but it works to some extent! at least some heavily drinking neighbors of mine abstain from booze for a year or two unless "decoded" by a friendly "expert") |
