Position: TRANSLATOR (English/Tajik, Kyrgyz, Uzbek) U599 -TR

ROLES:

• Translates, interprets, and/or transcribes foreign language conversations/materials into English or from English to the target language.
• Prepares and updates databases of translated source material.
• Translates, interprets, and/or transcribes intermediate level materials including specialized topics (scientific and technical) and formal communication.
• Operates furnished transcription equipment in accordance with operational guidelines.
• Must be able to transcribe, and/or interpret all information verbatim.
• Must possess native or near native proficiency in the foreign language.
• Reviews foreign language publications and provides abstract or summaries as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Higher linguistic education (English).
• Fluency in English is a must! Fluency in Kyrgyz, Tajik, Uzbek would be a great asset
• Advanced PC user (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, Internet),
• Good typing skills in your native language and English.
• Prior experience as an English translator (written translation) must be at least 4 years
• Advanced Internet search and ability to effectively use reference materials.
