Прошу помощи. Ситуация такова. Дальнобойщик на Аляске готовится отбуксировать поврежденную автоцистерну. Спасибо.

Well, for safety purposes we got to make sure that I’ve got enough drive away to get the job done. Because the tank isn’t all that heavy but it doesn’t give me enough drive away to do it. So I’ve got some extra counterweights to make sure I’ve got plenty of drive away, make sure I don’t spin out for any reason and then become a safety hazard.

Спасибо, но у них этот drive away оценивается в количестве или объеме "enough drive away", "plenty of drive away".
Все-таки я принял версию "сцепления с грунтом". Даже если это неточный перевод, то, по крайней мере, логичный. Этот субтитры к фильму, отсюда чрезмерная лаконичность. Вот как это звучит в итоге:

В целях безопасного
выполнения этой задачи

необходимо нарастить сцепление
колес моей машины с грунтом.

Хотя цистерна не очень тяжела,
но моего собственного веса маловато,

поэтому дополнительные противовесы
должны обеспечить силу сцепления,

чтобы меня не занесло, и я
не создал аварийную ситуацию.

имхо устойчивость
