все они могут быть применены к людям. поэтому я вам и дал случайную выборку предложений, чтобы показать, что применение зависит от контекста. вариант "was grew up", кстати, не катит ни к людям, ни к нелюдям, ибо грамматически неверен. |

Возможно, Вы имеете в виду rear vs. raise 'rule'?:) I do, however, commend the grammatically sensitive nominee for his choice of rear rather than raise, following the strict admonition that ''you raise cattle but you rear children.''
