Subject: play pass the parcel
Mr Clegg appeared to be the first to conquer his nerves as he capitalised on a platform never before enjoyed by a third-party leader. He painted himself as an alternative to the two main parties who had “played pass the parcel with your government for 65 years”. In mostly good-tempered exchanges, the trio referred to each other by their first names, although full names crept in as the debate grew more heated.
