Sunny, может эта информация поможет понять? То есть, если перевести Board, как Совет, а Council - как комитет? Ну сейчас я подкинула идею, наверное, народ выскажет свое мнение! | Ну вот и второе мнение появилось :-). Sunny, спросите у тех, кто Вам дал перевод-можно ли перевести Council, как meeting, и вся недолга. Если скажут, что можно - так тому и быть. |

хотя не соглашусь с Вами: "constituent organs" means the General Assembly, the Council, the Technical Committee and the Secretariat; т.е. the Council - какое-то подразделение или часть а текст действительно "морочистый" :) |

| А вот в этом контексте Каунсил - это Совет. :) Черт их поймешь этих "носителей"))). Но Council of the Board - Заседание Совета, уже ранее встречал, Контекст, штука такая. |

I've usually translated правление as Board and совет as council. Incidentally, I am President of our condominium community's Board of Directors (not Chairman, which would be the usual title). The owners are collectively called the Council of Co-owners. BTW, in our community, like most other condominium associations, the President is not an executive position. The Board makes all decisions not required to be made by the co-owners (kind of like the Politburo between Central Committee plena :-) by majority vote. I am merely the presiding officer and community representative. |
