The bearing housing consists of a cast-iron base part, a mild-steel top part and an end cover . The base part is fixed to the bedplate by means of bolts and it is equipped with oil sight glass and drain plug for draining of oil. In the top part there are two inspection ports providing access for inspection of the bearing. There are also holes for inlet and outlet connections for cooling water, a breather pipe with air filter as well as suspension parts for the thermal sensor of the bearing. |
