Ветер хлестал лицо струями дождя, наполняя её мозг (странным) оленьим чувством (вариант: оленьей беспомощностью/страхом/сознанием/покорностью....)
Чем же помог ей олений мозг/сознание?

Недостаточно информации о её последующем поведении, чтобы уверенно подобрать оборот.

Этот "ляп", как Вы его обозвали, ерунда. С каждым может случиться. А вот про рельсы я бы так как Вы не перевел. Нам начинающим переводчикам есть чему здесь поучиться:-)
