The extraction of LPG from the (low-
pressure) consumer end of a Natural gas
pipeline. Normally natural gas enters a
gas pipeline at high pressure, after LPG
has been removed by processes requiring
this high pressure. (The LPG must then
be put in a pressure tanker truck and
freighted to the consumer city end for
sale). At the consumer end of the pipeline,
which is normally also where the
customers for LPG exist, pressures have
fallen to low levels in the pipeline, so that
the usual LPG extraction processes are
inefficient.
