Inkjet technology has intrinsically a lower support cost than LED due to differences in technology. The support cost for inkjet is lower because there is no regular support needed.
In contrary, an LED printer requires a service technician to do regular maintenance, e.g. for cleaning or upgrades.
The reason behind all this is that the complexity if the inkjet process is inside the printhead, while LED has a process with multiple process with developer units, charging units, transfers etc.

charging units - зарядные устройства? (Насколько я понимаю, зд. возможно речь о пзарядке картриджей. В этом случае также сохраняется название "зарядное устройство" или есть свой термин?)
