we have canvassed advice from our key customers and in no case has any company unilateraly increased salaries by 20-25% to offset devaluation, some have initiated pay cut due to the financial crisis and consistently low oil price. Salary increases of 20% accross the board would not be commercially sustainable and devaluation is a stragic decision by the Government. however, ERIP does recognise that there are ongoing inflationary pressure issues besides devaluation and we have worked up a proposal for salary increases for presentation to the board of Directorates.
