The restrictions set out in Clauses 6.8(a) and 6.8(b) are without prejudice to the general ability of the Partnership to make (directly or through Holding Companies) equity and equity-related investments in Portfolio Companies which have incurred third party leverage or incur such leverage as part of an investment transaction involving the Partnership or Holding Companies, or to provide guarantees or other forms of credit support in respect of the Partnership's direct or indirect investments in Portfolio Companies (including procuring letters of credit to support future payments in respect of Investments) provided that the Partnership's liability thereunder does not exceed the leverage cap set out in Clause 6.8(b)
