Subject: Г. Р. Р. Hello.I need help with the following abbreviation: It is used on an official stamp, that says, "Закрытое акционерное общество Г. Р. Р." What does "Г. Р. Р." stand for? Thanks! |

ГРР — геолого-разведочные работы but more likely Г.Р.Р. is just the name of the company... maybe a short name, but still official (otherwise it wouldn't be on the stamp) - you can just transliterate it. |

The company deals with finances, stocks, etc. The abbreviation is followed by a number, so I think it has something to do with a "state registration" number of some kind ("государственная регистрация"). It's the second "Р." that puzzles me. Does this information help? Thanks again. |
