Пожалуйста, помогите перевести.

При переключекнии переключателя рабочих частот из положения Л1 в Л2 и обратно происходит переключение передатчика визирования цели, преселекторов и клистронов на антенном посту УНВ на другую частоту.

Типичное предложение из технического описания к одной из кабин ЗРД.
Проблем лексических нет, но перевод очень однообразен, оригинал написан очень коряво - фактиески весь текст такой (писали не для людей, а для военнослужащих), а эти хотят, чтобы им из такого конфетку сделали. Мне надо как можно больше разнообразных грамматических конструкций чтобы перевернуть структуру предложения.

За основу мой вариант (лексика):
Setting the operating frequency switch from the position L1 to L2 and vice versa adjusts the target sighting transmitter, preselectors, and drift tubes on the antenna post UNV to a new operating frequency.

проблема в том что вся эта книга написана в безличном ключе.
для сравнения привожу предыдущее предложение.

При нажатии кнопки "ВКЛ.ГШ" блока УК-47М2 включается генератор шумов на антенном посту УНВ и подключается к приемному каналу усиления.

Hitting the button POWER [ВКЛ.ГШ] on UK-47M2 [УК-47М2] console activates the jammer on the antenna post UNV and links it to the receive amplification channel.

Что-то претит мне все время одно и то же писать, а лучшего варианта пока придумать не могу

The sad reality of style, I agree. You may want to try: When switching the op. freq. between (positions) L1 and L2.

or When the ... switch is set...

Another option would be to use "by", e.g., "By swithing..."

Hi alexamel,
Thanks a lot for advice.
The thing is I'd like to find something more radical, as I badly need to "humanize" this MF text. I guess there's something, but can't get it, if you see what I mean.
If it was a manual, I could simply switch to imperative mode.
But this is a specification

I don't know if anyone could really "humanize" a piece of work like this in any way, especialy if you say it's not a manual but a spec. Manuals are pretty faceless, and that's even more true of technical specifications, isn't it? You could try making it sould more lively and upbeat by adding your own touches, but doing it might alter the style (based on the sample provided). But again, it's you call.

I guess both of you are right. My job here is to do the best posiible translation, not more. I'm not a book editor/ corrector.
But anyway if you have any suggestions...
