Пурист прямо какой-то несгибаемый :-))) Шутки-шутками, но с одним моментом автор статьи промахнулся. Когда-то давно у нас в стране существовал налог на бездетность... знаю это от своего приятеля, который, получая зарплату, всё время причитал: "Сколько раз я им ходил, доказывал... слабый я... неспособный... нет, сволочи, вычитают и вычитают" (впоследствии - шестеро детей). Или американские мужчины более тщеславные? :-))) |

First up should be a grammar tax. This would be assessed to anyone who says or writes anything that is grammatically incorrect. As a newspaper editor, you may forgive me for suggesting that written errors should be taxed at a rate, oh, say, 30 times higher than spoken errors. This tax ---- or fee ---- would clean up the language that made our country great, and with fewer grammatical errors, everyone should feel a lot better. We could call the grammar tax a Mellow Ruse. -- thumbs up! :) What's more, the grammar tax should sop up those extra millions of dollars George W. Bush will have lying around after Al Gore cleans his clock in November. |
