Работал с канадцами. Обычно у них так: January 27, 2009 или January 27th, 2009 или 27/1/2009 |
| по-разному. а потом сами путаются. |

У англо-канадцев, преимущественно, по-американски. Ну, а франко-канадцы, как обычно, имеют "собственное мнение" :)) |

2 sledopyt It's not me then who contradicts himself ) Я говорил о тех, с кем приходилось работать (довольно долго). Встречался именно такой вариант цифрового написания (в т.ч. на канадских сайтах). В любом случае, "Jan. 27, 2009" подходит, верно? |

Dmitry G: I guess it would depend on the intended use. For official use, it's always a good idea to follow the "official" conventions. Government publications are usually the best sources. I agree there's a mix of usage in Canada when it comes to dates. The standard American convention is to write the month first in numerical representation - 01.27.2009. In Canadian sources you'd come across dd.mm.yyyy (27.01.2009) format more often, which may lead to confusion in cases like 02.01.2009. And those are everyday use cases. The government uses a different convention (year first). Banks are on this system too. |

Government of Canada standard uses ISO 8601 All-numeric Date Standard (yyyy-mm-dd) In more casual use, you can come across just about every date notation known to man. :-) |
