Subject: interface = contact person? Доброго всем вечера!Вот сегодня встретил в контракте слово interface в значении contact person. Хотелось бы для себя прояснить, это ошибка или такой термин имеет место быть? Если да, тогда какая между этими вариантами разница? Заранее спасибо |

Вот пара отрывочков (текст в бумажном виде, приходиться набирать): 1. Each Party shall inform the other Party of the responsible persons and provide the necessary contact details of the designated interfaces. 2. In case of failure to providing(так было в оригинале!!!) the contact details of the designated interfaces, the authorised representatives of each Party signing this Agreement shall be deemed to be the designated interfaces. |
| МТ дает interface inter alia границы соприкосновения, контакты, так что "контактное лицо" нормально. |
| Ириша, спасибо, я это понимаю. Так и написал. Просто интересно, это общеупотребимый термин или выдумка автора. Я раньше такого не встречал. Может, я просто-напросто молодой да зеленый ишо :)) |

In the U.S., some people like to use the word "interface" as a stand-in for the word "contact." Some even use it as a verb ("to interface with our clients"). They think that using "big" words makes them sound "smarter." IMHO, this is bad style. "Interface" should generally be limited to computer-related and other technical context (again, IMHO). |
