| Taking a cold shot is firing at a target (probably living/kill shot) without zeroing.Usually done without checking windage, dope, range, humidity, and light. The first shot taken to zero the rifle is usually a cold shot, but at the same time it is an adjusted cold shot. Hope this helps. |
