Контекст: The track-while-scan (TWS) mode is employed at ranges up to 46 nautical miles. InTWS mode, the system can track up to ten targets simultaneously and will display the eight deemed most threatening. The computer displays the target's aspect, altitude, and velocity. If the pilot initiates the AIM-7 launch sequence while in TWS, the radar will switch to STT before missile launch.
