Subject: Russian-English Translation
Please, help to translate these phrases- any ideas welcome!

"Западные свободы" под умелым руководиством обернулись бандитским беспределом...Как будто специально, чтобы эти деньги рвзворовали...а страна прочно села на долговую иглу...90% самолётов Россия сегодня закупает за рубежом...Люди превращаются в бездушных потребителей шмоток...Люди, которые руководили страной в эпоху либеральных реформ, либо некомпетентны, либо с самого начала являлись агентами чужого влияния.

Thanks in advance

well, i m not sure posting something like this and expecting somebody to translate it is entirly unethical, but i think it comes close. asking for clarifications or requesting help in translating phrases is fine, imho, but WHOLE passages? u will just use it without giving me or anybody willing to help any credit, and u will get paid for it, and that is my intellectual property and and my income i will be forfeiting. all of that said with all due respect. tal'

Попробуйте сначала сами, здесь же не бюро переводов, в самом деле! Да еще и бесплатно...

I have already a translation of the FULL passage which is considerably longer than what I have posted- a two page newspaper article.
I posted the full sentences to provide a better context for the bits I had difficulty with, and unfortunately there is no underlining feauture on the forum to pinpoint the exact bits.
Please don't insult my ethics without knowing the full story.
Thank you anyway for taking the time to reply.
PS. I am not translating this for payment or for 'credit', but out of interest.

1/with a little help of skillful management all the 'western freedoms' turned into a criminal chaos
2/as if from the start they intended the money to be stolen and the country to be in debt up to its neck (literally to be addicted to borrowing more and more)
3/90% of all the airplanes that Russia buys are produced outside of the country
4/People are becoming extremely materialistic and are only interested in buying stuff and not in spiritual matters
5/People who were at the head of the country during the time of liberal reforms were either incompetent or somebody else's agents

----have fun with your newspaper readings :)

it's funny how metaphors work in different languages
сесть на иглу is to become addicted - usually to drugs
