Subject: Согласно инфомации
The sentence is translated to" according to the information". But
"Согласно" is adverb not preposition. Is any word omitted in the sentence?

"to" seems to be excessive here.
Better: The sentence translation may be information-dependent.

согласно can be both an adver and a preposition
СОГЛАСНО1 нареч.
1. Соотносится по знач. с прил.: согласный (2*).
СОГЛАСНО2 предлог
1. с дат. пад. Соответственно, сообразно с чем-л., на основе чего-л.
as you see the prep. is used with the Dative case
HTH
The phrase means just "according to + (source of information)" but I agree that its translation into English depends on the context.
