Мне показалось, что производители как раз ничего не гарантируют возвращать, они по-моему предлагают возвращать товар на базу (завод?) для ремонта (замены?), или я ошибаюсь? Colleges, by contrast to schools, usually tender for preferred purchasing arrangements with suppliers on an annual basis. Where PCs are purchased, a high premium is placed on extended warranties that last for the expected life of the machine, and in consequence few if any PC maintenance contracts are ever let. Colleges are of the view that 'return to base' guarantees offered by most manufacturers have effectively replaced service contracts: if after the end of the guarantee a PC develops a fault that cannot be fixed by a local technician, it is simply discarded. There is little sentimentality over the relationship with a particular 'preferred' supplier, who can lose the 'call-ofF contract without notice from one year to the next if he or she is undercut by a competitor. |

я имел в виду, что колледжам разрешается возвращать компы на основании high premium is placed on extended warranties that last for the expected life of the machine, а потом, по истечении контракта, они сломанный комп просто выбрасывают. дешевле купить новый. у нас сломался пылесос (начал перегреваться). я отнёс его в ремонт и мне там насчитали ремонта на 170 амер. рубликов. А новый такой же стоит 140 доларов. |

| Да гарантия возврата товара производителю и назовите. Там же написано offered by most manufacturers. |
