Subject: pay-as-you-go basis limited provision on a pay-as-you-go basisэто относительно питания на борту самолета во время перелетом. Вот даже понимаю о чем речь, а lack of words.(((( хотя может и ошибаюсь, но мне кажется что смысл в том что питание на борту ограничено, и то только для тех кто раскошелился. Так как же это правильно по-русски звучит??? |

| наверно все-таки "на месте", типа как оплата билетов в автобусе - принесли - оплатил, а то как-то слабо представляю что расплачиваются на выходе..... |
| "оплата не месте" может не содержаться в множестве случаев "по уходе". |
| т.е. оплата на месте может быть до услуги, во время услуги или после услуги. |

| на мой взгляд оплачивают во время, т.е. стюардесса, грубо говоря, принесла шоколадку, и ты сразу отдаешь ей деньги. здечь же речь идет о "limited provision" - не же стандартный набор обедов или чего-то там.... ну, могу конечно, ошибаться..... давно не летала на самолетах))) |

Pay-As-You-Go Basis Refers generally to any service that is paid for as it is used. Оплата на месте, конечно. |

| Many domestic US flights and some cheap European carriers (RyanAir, Go, etc.) no longer include food/snacks in the price of the ticket (unlike transatlantic flights, where you are fed at least twice, included in ticket price). Pay-as-you-go, in this particular context, refers to meals/snacks you buy on board. In other words, there is food available on the plane, but you have to pay for it in spite of having bought your ticket. So yes, obviously pay for it when you get it, but it refers more to the concept of 'food not included in ticket price'. |

| I specialize in legal texts, so when occasionally I get something on mountain climbing, for instance, I'm at a loss, too. It's only natural to feel lost in certain subjects. At least you have the common sense and humility to ask, when not sure. The biggest mistake I've seen translators make (I used to be head of legal at a large international law firm here), is believe with certainty that they know everything.
