Subject: good value
Здравствуйте! Вот перевожу договор об инкассо чеков. Попалась такая фраза:
(такой-то банк) endeavours to process even delayed remittances with good value.
Remittances - это чеки, направляемые на инкассо.
Что, по-вашему, означает good value? Может, просто имеется в виду "добросовестно", или тут что-то кроется?

Все-таки скорее кроется :-) Рискну предположить, что речь идет о "дате валютирования/зачисления средств", которая по каким-то параметрам остается good, несмотря на то, что чек просрочен. Попристальней изучить вопрос смогу тока ближе к ночи, если это будет еще актуально :-)

Спасибо, Толмач. Теоретически, конечно, могло иметься в виду "with (a) good value date", хотя я не уверен...

Вобщем, похоже, что речь идет действительно о "надлежащей/необходимой дате валютирования" или о "зачислении средств надлежащей/необходимой датой".

Value Date
Value date refers to the date on which actual exchange of funds i.e. payment/receipt takes place. Funds can only be used when they are credited with "good value".

A good value date must be a date upon which banks are open for business in both countries of the underlying currencies for payment of cleared funds.
